Within the framework of the OIC Tourism Capacity Building Programme (Tr-CaB), SESRIC organized a training course on “Strategic Planning for Sustainable Tourism Development” for the benefit of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Leisure of the Republic of Togo on 29 June – 03 July 2020.

A competent expert from the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Arts of the Republic of Benin delivered the course through online solutions. Participants from different levels, including directors and staff of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Leisure of the Republic of Togo attended actively the 5 days training course.

The training course contributed to strengthening participants’ capacity in strategic planning and sustainable tourism development through case studies and up-to-date strategic planning and sustainable tourism development tools and methods. It served also as a discussion panel to analyze challenges and opportunities of the tourism sector in Togo.

This online training was organized as part of the Centre’s virtual training solutions to keep the staff of national institutions of the OIC Member States motivated and engaged during this time of global crisis caused by the COVID-19 Pandemic.
