OIC-Occupational Safety and Health Network is the first transnational networks project under the framework of OIC-VET. It has been kicked-off with a meeting on 16-17 May 2011, in Ankara, Turkey. In line with the recommendations adopted during the study visit in Ankara in May 2010, and in continuation to the efforts already exerted in the area of occupational safety and health, SESRIC had proposed to establish an OIC Network for Occupational Safety and Health (OIC-OSHNET) among similar local, national and regional institutions operating in public and civil domain, in the OIC Member Countries with the aim of establishing closer cooperation for sharing knowledge and experience, conducting joint research and training, and organising new initiatives, projects and programmes in the field of OSH.
