SESRIC has initiated the OIC University Capacity Building (OIC-UniCaB) Programme, aiming at strengthening the institutional capacities of the universities in OIC Member Countries. The programme enables the universities to enhance their institutional capacities through making inter university partnerships, which leads to access international network and expertise, expands their own education and research activities, enhances developmental perspectives, reveals the challenges regarding higher education issues as well as to assist each other in the administrative development.
The OIC-UniCaB is designed as a long-term and large scale institutional development programme. Consequently, the Centre has prepared a questionnaire to collect present institutional status of the universities in Member Countries. SESRIC assesses the needs and capacities of the universities and matches those needs and capacities to organise short term training courses, study visits, workshops etc. on the basis of the received responses to the above mentioned questionnaire. Besides, the Centre evaluates the impacts of the capacity building activities and disseminates the outcomes among the universities in Member Countries.
